Exhibition in duo with Juliette June from July 3 to 24, 2025
Mur Mur is first of all an invitation that Lena Baltazard made me a year ago, to exhibit in La Petite Galerie de Guéthary. Lena is the wonderful Swedish woman who runs La poterie de Guéthary . Each plate, each mug, each egg cup is created with calm, beauty, tenderness. So when she added that with each artist she exhibited, she collaborated on a series of plates , I jumped for joy.
La Petite Galerie is four walls, which previously housed her library. Lena emptied her books to show the works of living artists. I wanted to invite Juliette to join the adventure . Lena had thought of it too.
Juliette is my lover, the mother of my children, the artist who reminds me of what's most important when I get lost in energy audits. I spent a lot of time in yoga ashrams, but I often think she's much more of a yogi than I am. When you peel back the layers, there's a heart behind the postures, the chants, and the rituals, where it's both silent and dynamic; she has that quality.
So Mur Mur is an affectionate conversation , from one wall to another, from one person to another, from one drawing to another. The dialogue of two artists intimately linked . And of course, plates . Modeled by Lena and painted by us. Six by me, six by Juliette. With infinite pleasure! I loved using natural pigments. So obvious...
The opening is Thursday, July 3, 2025 , starting at 6 p.m. I'd love to see you there. And if you can't make it, we'll be there every Saturday afternoon during the exhibition to tell you all about the adventure.
